Founded in 2003, the Los Banos Liberation Memorial Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt California corporation organized and operated exclusively for educational purposes. Through generous tax-deductible contributions, the Foundation has created a permanent endowment fund. Scholarships are granted only out of the interest income generated by investment. You can help LBLMSF increase the number and amount of scholarships.

Thank You For Making A Difference
From two grants of $250 in 2003, the Los Banos Liberation Memorial Scholarship Foundation has grown to 15 scholarships per year for students enrolled at the University of the Philippines Rural High School in Los Banos and two scholarships for students continuing on to the University. Since the Foundation was established over 100 different individuals and groups have donated to build an endowment fund in honor of the rescue.
Although donors will always remember the bravery of the 11th Airborne Division and the Hunters ROTC Philippine guerrillas in freeing the internment camp as well as the sacrifice of the 1,500 civilians who were massacred after the rescue, most give in honor of a beloved family member. Whether a paratrooper, guerilla, or an internee, the honored family member left a legacy of strength, hope, and love for future generations.
The Los Banos Memorial Scholarship Foundation gives back to the community of Los Banos and works with families and survivors of the rescue to keep the memory of our heroes alive.
